Now they're similar, of course.. interesting that Pedro Almodóvar's "Talk to her" didn't make it among the best pictures..
I guess "Chicago" is best film.. It's a touch harder with Best director..
I missed out on "Adaption" and "The Quiet American", "Road to Perdition" (I had totally forgotten about that one), "Catch me if you can", "Unfaitful", "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron", "Spirited away", "Treasure Planet", "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" among the bigger awards..
Out of the one's I listed.. only "Insomnia" and "Harrison's Flowers" didn't get a nomination..
Best Film: Chicago
Best Director: Martin Scorcese
Best Actor: Jack Nicholson (Daniel Day-Lewis strong competition)
Best Supporting Actor: Paul Newman
Best Actress: Even if I so root for it to be Julianne Moore's turn, I guess Salma Hayek
Best Supporting Actress: Julianne Moore
Best Animated Film: Sprit: Stallion of the Cimarron (Even if Ice Age is a big favorite of mine, but doesn't exactly have much of a story).
Adapted Screenplay: Chicago
Original Screenplay: Far from Heaven
Best Foreign: The Man without a past
Art direction: Gangs of New York
Documentary: Bowling for Columbine
Film Editing: Chicago
Original Score: Far from Heaven
Original Song: No idea.. "Father and Daughter" maybe..
Sound Editing: Minority Report
Visual Effects: The Two Towers
And I sure hope that "Mike's New Car" doesn't win for best animated short, because that one, for sure suck.. Can't even understand how it became nominated..
