That song has to be among the most well-known songs in the world. A majority of people would pick it out, if you started pounding that rhythm.
I like to "drum". No, not playing drums etc (then, when I'm behind a set of drums, I'm only good at playing a Tango Rhytm, for some reason), but.. at work, when I've got nothing to do, I like to beat out a rhythm or something, with my fingers, hands, pencils, screwdrivers or whatever I've got at hands. Most often a Blues or Pop rhythm, but... obviously.. "We will Rock You" (Which actually is an exaggerated pop rhytmn more than anything else), is very easy to drum, and I kinda like singing it..
"Buddy you're a young man, hard man, shouting in the street, gonna take on the world someday, you got blood on your face you big disgrace, wawin' your banner all over the place"
Now, I've heard several versions of it, as they've played it live, but.. close to the original, with that heavy beat, it really must have been extremely powerful to experience it live in concert.
Kinda wish I'd been able to experience that.
Queen is kinda strange. They sure was one of the biggest (most popular) bands ever, but for some reason, hasn't been really considered as that. Maybe thanks to the lack of number one hits. It's easy to count Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who, Genesis etc.. Even ABBA. But.. for some reason, despite having a real big audience at their concerts, being known about a lot, and having familiar songs like "We will rock you", "Bohemian Rhapsody", "We are the Champions", "Another one Bites The Dust" etc etc etc.. They're hardly mentioned.
Sure.. they're not any of my bigger favorites, but.. well.. I like a lot of their songs, and I do like to listen to them at times etc.
