Of course, it's nice that you can fly long distance. Move around the world in mere hrs. Still.. the bad thing about it, is that it's hard to get a sense of moving. Standing outside of Terminal 5 at O'Hare, smoking, and really understand that you're in Chicago, Illinois, USA, America. You kinda have to think it, to believe it.

Next thing was to jump on the bus that would take me to Alamo, and the rental car. It went ok, and soon I was sitting in a '01 Pontiac Sunfire automatic, with Cruise control, AC and CD-player. Time to get out into the traffic.. yikes.. I'm grateful it was a pretty simple way to Vauntess. Just following the "45" upwards, turn right and being there. Went ok, even if I kept one eye on the map and one on the road, basically the whole time, trying to figure out where I were. Basically, it was no problems driving, despite things looking quite different from what you're used to. In Sweden, the area around streets and roads are slightly "cleaner", making it easier to see signs etc.

Well.. I made it there, and met Vauntess. Of course, it's always something special meeting someone you only have seen on a cam and chatted with. Both nice and awkward. Well.. she was nice etc, but she being on work, of course dictated the meeting slightly. Well. spent the evening there, having a look around the neighborhood, etc, before finding myself a Red Roof Inn close by, to sleep in.
