Didn't see much I wanted, but bought a novel.. David Baldacci - "Saving Faith". $6.40 was a nice price.. so..
Got some DVDs today..
"The Long Riders" - That Walter Hill (when he knew how to make movies (he actually did once)) western kinda famous for having basically only brothers playing brothers in the movie.. James/Stacy Keach, David/Carradine/Keith Carradine, Dennis/Randy Quaid, Christopher/Nicholas Guest. It also has about the coolest slow motion-sequence I've seen in a movie, as the Jesse James gang ends up in a trap, and is basically shot to pieces.. Pretty cool.. They speak Swedish in the movie, as well.. real, genuine Swedish.. Kinda funny accent tho. It's so surprising, hearing it, you almost doesn't catch it..
Got a really wonderful soundtrack by Ry Cooder.
"The Misfits". Kinda famous for being about everyone's last movie.. Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable and Montgomery Clift..
Really great movie..
"Twin Peaks - Fire walk with me" OK movie. Wasn't that impressed by it. Think the main fault being that it's a prequel to the TV-series, and that way becomes unintentionally funny at times.. At the same time, even if it's not able to be as "mystic" as the TV-series, having a totally different pace, it's nice seeing it in a "raw" form that never would be allowed on the American TV-screen..
"Three Amigos" The movie Galaxy quest has stolen the story from, but not as funny as GQ. Still.. it's fun..
"No Way Out". Done back when Kevin Costner actually did good movies.. (Bull Durham, Field of Dreams etc). Pretty good thriller..
"Crimes and Misdemeanors" Woody Allen. One I've missed, for some reason..
"9 1/2 Weeks" One of my favorite movies.. in some strange way. Don't know why, actually.. I just like it. It's special.. That reminds me.. Gotta have a look at what they've changed, since the American and the international version is said to be very different. Think the European version is 5 mins longer, in the first place.. then is cut very different.. Still.. the existing versions today, is said to be a far cry from what Lyne intended, it being cut with about 30 mins, and totally re-edited.
Really great soundtrack
"This Life - The Complete Series 1" Kinda hard describing this BBC TV-series.. It's kinda like "Friends", but serious, following some young lawyers in London. http://thislife.tvheaven.com/index.html or http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/ilove/years/1996/tv1.shtml
Now.. if I only can get Series 2 as well.. Love to see Luisa Bradshaw-White (as Kira) again.. :)
